1. Why do Emotiva amplifier power cords not have a ground?
A grounded power cord can create a 'ground loop' in your system, which creates noise. Our amps are specifically designed to prevent ground loops, and have multiple layers of grounding and shielding internally. They meet all CE regulations (worldwide safety regulations).

2. Should I use a power conditioner or surge protector with an Emotiva amplifier?
Emotiva products do not require surge protection or outside filtering to operate under normal conditions. They can be connected directly to a wall outlet for safe operation. If you choose to use an external surge protection or power filtering device, make sure that it is sufficiently rated for the power requirements of your system.
