The ERT-8.3 represents the ultimate expression of the Emotiva Reference Series loudspeakers. Designed as a full range, floor standing tower, the ERT-8.3 will act as the cornerstone of a reference caliber home theater or two channel music system. We've taken our acclaimed Nested Array™ and coupled it with an authoritative low frequency system comprised of two high performance 8" woofers in a critically damped, sealed alignment. The result: accoustic bliss. When the ERM-8.3's are used in a two channel configuration, the sound stange is wide and extremely natural. Localization of instruments and the recreation of space is truly remarkable. When used in a multi-channel configuration, particularly in conjunction with the ERM-6.3, the cohesiveness of the front soundstage is compelling and is highly recommended as a no-compromise solution for your front channel home theater requirements.
Like all Emotiva Reference loudspeakers, construction is first-rate with an advanced and highly complex LC crossover network. We've included controls for boundary compensation, high frequency lift, midrange level, tweeter level, and bi-amping. Low defraction, low resonance, milled aluminum baffle plates accomodate magnetically attached grills. Adjustable milled aluminum outriggers with aluminum spikes can be optimized for use on hardwood or carpeted floors. A six stage, hand rubbed, low glare, satin lacquer finish integrates beautifully with any theater or listening environment. The ERT-8.3 features a 1.25" precision machined HDF baffle coupled to a critically braced cabinet for low coloration and absolute rigidity. Designed in cooperation with legendary loudspeaker guru Vance Dickason, author of the 'The Loudspeaker Design Cookbook', the ERT-8.3 has earned its place as the flagship of the Emotiva Reference Series loudspeakers.
