First: Download and save the .hex files to your desktop, and unzip the file. You will be prompted to select one of the.hex files during the last step.

Now that the driver has been installed, plug the USB cable into your computer. You may also connect the other end of the cable to the LMC-1 at this time, and turn the LMC-1 on.

Open your 'Sytem Properties' control panel:

(>Start >Control Panel >System)

Select the 'Hardware' tab.

Select 'Ports (COM & LPT)

The port identified as CP210x USB UART Bridge Controller is the one you want to make note of. On this computer, it is labled (COM3),
but it may be labeled differently on your computer. Just note the name of the port that fits the above description.

After making note of the proper port, exit out of your System Properties window(s).
