Each Emotiva BasX system starts with a preamp or processor, which acts as the brains and control center of your system, enabling you to select which source to listen to or watch, and to set preferences like which surround sound decoding mode to use. Add one of our stereo or multi-channel amplifiers and you’ve built the foundation of a great home theater or stereo music system.
The bottom line: All of our BasX components were designed from the ground up to give you the best possible performance for the lowest cost. You can build a great new system using all BasX components, or you can use one or two BasX models to complete your current system. Either way you’ll be thrilled with the results.

The BasX PT1 enables you to experience the flexibility and superb sound quality you can achieve with separate audiophile components at a surprisingly affordable price. The PT1 is a high performance stereo preamplifier, which includes a stereo FM tuner, inputs for line level analog sources, a built-in DAC with plenty of digital inputs for all of your digital audio sources, including a high-resolution asynchronous USB input and a built-in AptX capable Bluetooth receiver, and a high performance phono preamp that supports both moving magnet and moving coil cartridges.
