One of the important features offered by the Emotiva RMC-1 is expandability.

We are pleased to announce the release of the first two expansion modules for the RMC-1: a high-performance phono preamp and an input module that adds two additional stereo-balanced analog inputs to the one already available in the RMC-1.

The Phono Preamp Input Module allows you to add the same features and performance available in our highly acclaimed XSP-1 phono preamp to your RMC-1 in the form of a convenient internal module. It supports both moving magnet (MM) and moving coil (MC) cartridges, with very low noise and distortion, exceptionally accurate RIAA equalization, and user-selectable load impedances choices for moving coil cartridges.

The Balanced Input Module adds two more fully balanced analog stereo inputs to the one already present in the RMC-1. The performance and specifications of these inputs are the same as those of the original internal balanced input.

Expansion Slot #1 and Expansion Slot #2 on the RMC-1 are allocated for this type of expansion modules. Either of these modules may be installed in either of those slots and they may be installed in any combination. Expansion Slot #3 is reserved for other types of expansion modules.

We strongly recommend that you send your RMC-1 in, so we can install your modules for you, and fully test your RMC-1 to make sure everything is working perfectly afterwards. However, if you prefer, we also offer a self-install option. If you send your unit in, the price includes the $25 service fee.
