The Airmotiv XS8 is a premium full-featured powered subwoofer that was designed to sound great with both movie sound tracks and audiophile quality music content. The Airmotiv XS8 is an excellent way to extend the bass response of a smaller audio or home theater system to cover the last few critical octaves of bass with authority and finesse. The XS8 can deliver plenty of low bass to add that final touch of realism to a movie, while still offering the low distortion and precise control you need for accurate, superb sounding music reproduction. While the XS8 is the smallest member of our Airmotiv XS Subwoofer family, it can still deliver plenty of clean low bass to offer a truly impressive listening experience in installations where space is at a premium. The Airmotiv XS8 is also a great choice for dual-subwoofer setups.
A Powerful Efficient Low Frequency Driver
- Heavy-duty long throw forward-firing 8" low-frequency driver with a non-pressed paper cone reinforced with aramid fibers.
- Tough SBR rubber surround.
- Non-magnetic solid cast aluminum frame.
- 1-1/2” copper voice coil.
- Powerful magnet structure with vented pole piece for enhanced cooling.
- Low moving mass for excellent transient response.
Audiophile Quality Electronics
- Audiophile quality class A/B amplifier, powered by an oversized toroidal transformer, and rated at 250 watts RMS.
- Both balanced XLR and dual unbalanced RCA inputs.
- A truly transparent advanced multi-stage low-distortion limiter.
- Flexible all-analog crossover, with separate controls for Volume, Crossover Frequency, Phase, and a variable Low Frequency Boost adjustment.
- User selectable 115 VAC or 230 VAC 50/60 Hz operation.

- Critically braced, acoustically inert, HDF cabinet, with integral non-slip rubber feet.
- Low noise, rear-firing, slot-loaded port.
- A tough yet attractive exterior, finished with multiple coats of satin finish black lacquer on the front, and tough attractive textured vinyl on the rear and sides.
- All audio inputs and outputs are on the rear panel.
- Removable sculpted fabric grill. (The cabinet is fully finished on all sides and looks great with or without the grill.)
