It also uses solid, machined, gold-plated RCA connectors for a secure connection with a wide range of interconnects, and it is designed, assembled, and tested in the USA at Emotiva’s facility in Franklin, Tennessee.
Flexible Signal Connections and Power Options
Connectivity is straightforward and flexible, with audiophile-grade gold-plated five-way binding posts that accept bare wire, spades, or banana plugs, plus selectable balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs via a sturdy toggle switch. A trigger input and output make system integration easy, and universal AC operation from 100 to 250 VAC with a standard IEC inlet means it works worldwide and supports most aftermarket power cables.
Protection
Protection circuits are designed to stay out of the way during normal listening while guarding against the common problems that can damage an amplifier or connected gear. The XPA HC-1 includes a rugged, resettable rear-panel circuit breaker for AC line faults, and it is backed by a full five-year warranty for long-term confidence.
