Product Overview

The eARC HDMI 2.0b Video Upgrade Board replaces the existing HDMI video circuit board in your XMC-2, RMC-1L, or RMC-1.

This upgrade is customer-installed. The process is similar to installing an expansion card in a computer: you will remove the top cover, take out a few screws, disconnect several ribbon cables, swap the new board for the original, then reconnect the cables and reinstall the screws. During installation, you will also update the processor’s firmware.

To make the process straightforward, we provide:

Upgrade Eligibility Details
The eARC HDMI 2.0b Video Upgrade Board is compatible with every non “Plus” or “CR8” XMC-2, RMC-1L, and RMC-1.

Because all XMC-2, RMC-1L, and RMC-1 units sold by Emotiva after November 2021 already include the eARC HDMI 2.0b Video Board, this upgrade does not apply to units purchased after that date.
