TOPOLOGY

The DRS-1 is a high performance two channel audio streamer based on the popular Volumio Premium operating system. The DRS-1 can play content from a variety of streaming services, from locally connected USB storage devices, and from network-attacked storgare devices.

The DRS-1 includes both a variety of digital audio outputs, and both balanced and unbalanced analog audio outputs, powered by an internal high-performance DAC that uses the ESS ES9038Q2M SABRE32 Reference DAC chip. An HDMI video output is included, which displays the console screen of the unit, and can be used to display track information, album cover art, and other content information.

TOPOLOGY

The DRD-1 is a high performance two channel PCM audio DAC, with a variety of digital inputs, including a very high performance USB input, and an HDMI-ARC digital audio input. The USB digital audio input supports sample rates up to 768k, DoP up to DoP256, and Native DSD up to DSD512 with appropriate drivers. The DRD-1 features a fully balanced differential analog signal path, both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) outputs, and a fixed output level, for superb audio performance with a wide variety of preamps.
